Created in the late 80's by the Stourbridge News editor Pete Wallace, at a time when the town was put on the map by local bands The Wonder Stuff / Neds Atomic Dustbin & Pop Will Eat Itself, Sounds in the park took place every summer in Mary Stevens Park (Stourbridge

1997

In 1997 after nearly going out of existence a group of people got together to try and breath new life into the event. These included The Dudley HIV & aids support group, The What Centre, The Warehouse Project, Lifted
