In 1996 she co-founded eMarket Group, Ltd., an online merchandise company, and continues work with eMarket Group as Executive Vice President. With over 20 years of industry experience, she also helped to build the systems for e-commerce sites zat.com and the Viz store.

Lyris' writing has been inhibited in recent years due to her executive responsibilities. She expresses this change with regret on her website, but hopes to get back to writing for publication soon.
