Smith & Williamson, founded in 1881, is the eighth largest firm of accountants in the UK (Accountancy magazine, 2008) and its investment management business has around £8.3 billion funds under management and advice (as at 30 April 2009).

Clients vary from private individuals to mid-large businesses, professional practices and non-profit organisations.

The business spans 11 principal offices in the UK and Ireland, with locations in the City of London, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Glasgow, Guildford, Salisbury, Southampton and Worcester, and an international capability in 100 countries through membership of Nexia International (the 10th largest international accounting network) and M&A International.
