. To commemorate these releases, Rykodisc issued this compilation as a promotional item to record stores. Many die-hard fans of 4AD and HNIA, despite likely having all the songs included already, sought out and obtained the compilation CD to add to their collection. The artwork was based on the inside sleeve artwork from the 4AD UK release of Home Is in Your Head.

This was also a significant release because it was the first introduction to the band for many American fans. Many who had only read about the band while the records were only available in the UK (or as pricey imports) found this CD their introduction to the band; an introduction that for many led to obsessive fanship.
