This was Lynn's second studio album of the year. The album spawned one single, "If You're Not Gone too Long", which peaked in the Country Top 10 in 1967. Three Lynn compositions were released from the album, "Bargain Basement Dress" and "Slowly Killing Me" were self-penned, while "I'll Sure Come Long a Way Down" was co-written with a songwriter.
