At the age of 16, Simenona wrote, directed, produced, and edited her first film entitled "Black and White." This documentary project was honored at several well known film festivals around the U.S., including the Los Angeles Film Festival

 in 2002. Immediately after completing the film, she opened a production company in San Francisco where she took her writing and producing skills to the next level. She collaborated with large corporations such as Bank of America working one on one with the head of the Bank of America Diversity Division in San Francisco.

. She also signed on with San Francisco’s Warner Bros WB20 Youth Division in 2003, where she wrote and appeared in a series of Public Service Announcements. She used this opportunity to connect directly with youth and answered emails from those who were dealing with difficult life issues. Simenona went on to receive awards for her work with the WB20. She was also featured twice on the cover of Summer Blast Magazine. In addition, she hosted the Disney Channel

She is the founder and president of Sioni Academy, which focuses on developing self esteem, self confidence, and self assurance in children. Her production company Sioni Entertainment produces documentaries that feature untold stories. The company is currently working on a film that tackles issues of depression, suicide, mental health, and the healing process surrounding those issues.
