The AED 800 million residential towers project is being built on the Dubai Marina opposite the water's edge.

Designed by Hazel Wong, Regional Director for RMJM, creator of such structures as the Emirates Towers on Sheikh Zayed Rd, Silverene is the third architectural design she has produced for Cayan, the other two being The Jewels (Dubai Marina) and Lamar (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia).

Silverene's tallest tower will have 35 floors while the second will have 26 floors and both will comprise of studios, one, two and three bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses. Each tower will feature its own gymnasium.

Linking the two towers will be a four storey podium with two floors of shops, and a sun deck with swimming pool for residents.

The nearby Marina Mall will offer 275,000m2 of shopping, including restaurants and entertainment centre.

Cayan has partnered with the Dorra Group and Al Gihaz Trading Company as investors in the Silverene project.

Site works will begin before the end of May and when the Sliverene Towers are completed in June 2010, the Marina will be finished.

Cayan has already handed over La Residencia Del Mar to purchasers and currently has Dorrabay, The Jewels and its Infinity Tower under construction at other waterfront locations in the Dubai Marina. Cayan is also developing the Cayan Business Centre in the TECOM area in Dubai.

It also recently launched the Lamar twin tower project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - the first high rise and multi-use development there, in addition to a commercial complex that has been recently launched in the city and construction work is well on its way.

When completed, units are expected to go on rent at much higher rates then other marina buildings.
