. Service began on March 18, 2007 and also resulted in a restructuring of service. The idea of the Silver Streak came when Line 480, Foothill's most popular line, became a very busy bus line and needed higher-capacity vehicles and enhanced service. The goal of Silver Streak was to eliminate the many deviations and minor stops on Line 480 and provide a quality service that would attract discretionary riders.
