Products

Silver Peak's products (physical and virtual appliances) are based on the Silver Peak Virtual Acceleration Open Architecture (VXOA), which allows for WAN optimization to be deployed on a variety of hardware platforms and hypervisors
Hypervisor
In computing, a hypervisor, also called virtual machine manager , is one of many hardware virtualization techniques that allow multiple operating systems, termed guests, to run concurrently on a host computer. It is so named because it is conceptually one level higher than a supervisory program...

. The products are architected around three fundamental technologies: Network Memory to reduce the amount of data traversing the WAN, Network Acceleration to overcome WAN latency, and Network Integrity to mitigate the effects of packet loss across the WAN.
