The altitude of this woreda ranges from 1300 to 3020 meters above sea level; important peaks include Mount Chalsisi, Mount Adere and Mount Godomo. Rivers include the Aleltu, Ambelta, Gorochan, Indris, Leku, Chekorsa and the Jalele.
