Village is located on the Bank of River Kunhar and it is full of natural beauty.

Village was badly hitted by 2005 earthquake and was also destroyed in 1992 by flood.

Population of area is generally educated and there are separate high schools for boys and girls. NGOs and private sector is also contributing towards the education and are running some small schools. Degree College of Balakot is situated at a distance of 3 km from the village.

100% population is Muslim and Sunni. Economy of the village is agri based with major share of live stock. People are either small farmers or serving in different public and private sectors. The village also serves as market for adjacent areas.people belong to Swati, Gujjar, Qureshi, Awan and Mughal.
