Shilu Abed Crafts Award

The Shilu Abed Memorial Trust formed in 1998, introduced the "Shilu Abed Karushilpa Purashkar" or the Shilu Abed Crafts Award in 1998. It is awarded annually to Bangladeshi craftsmen by the Bangladesh Jatiya Karushilpa Parishad (National Crafts Council of Bangladesh (NCCB)), sponsored by BRAC-Aarong on the occasion of her birthday, on 5 March every year.
