He was born in Cochin on 17th Febryary 1961. He started writing poems at a very young age inspired by his uncle Eroor Vesudev. At the age of 18 he started writing songs for Malaylam Basic Albums. His first film was Allimalarkkavu in 1984 at the age of 23 when he was doing his Masters Degree in Philosophy in Maharajas College. He continued his studies and secured Diploma in Journalism and at the same time worked profusely with the film industry.
He famous hit was in the film "Shyma" and the song "chembarathy poovu" and he became a successful lyrist int he Malayalm Cinema Industry.
