Teaching

Shenley Brook End School provides teaching to students between ages 11 and 16 (years 7 - 11) and there is also a sixth form college providing A level qualifications for students between 16 and 18.
The teaching staff at the school are backed up by a group of trained and motivated Teaching Assistants who assist the teachers in the teaching of S.F.L. (previously S.E.N.) pupils. These include pupils with learning difficulties or behavioural problems - sometimes caused by medical issues such as ADHD or other more emotional problems.

A specialist school

Previously Shenley Brook End School was known as a sporting school and was proud of its success in teaching in this field. In September 2004, the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) designated the school as a specialist
