Sheering Village has about 350 households. Sheering Village Pre-School meets in the Village Hall and has strong links with Sheering C of E Primary School a vibrant learning community.

The village boasts two pubs: The Cock Inn and The Crown, a general store cum post office, a sandwich shop, a hairdresser, a butcher's shop.
St Mary's Church is a beautiful Norman building down Church Lane.
