Shaun Hampson is an Australian rules football

Hampson excelled at sport at school, including athletics, swimming and soccer, but did not begin playing Australian football until 2004. He then joined Queensland's Mt Gravatt Football Club in 2005 and by the end of the year he was their number one ruckman. Hampson was drafted in the priority round
by the Carlton Football Club
(17th pick overall). He made his debut in Round 21 of that year against the Kangaroos, and scored his first goal the following week against Melbourne with a strong kick from a set shot. He played sporadically for Carlton during 2008 and early 2009, but gained a regular spot in the ruck for the latter two thirds of 2009.
