Music career

At the age of eighteen, Crooks moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a career in music. Shortly after moving, her songwriting caught the attention of country music superstar John Rich

, who signed Crooks to a publishing deal in 2005. John calls Shanna, 'One of the best songwriters he's come across in a long time as well as one of the most impressive people he has ever met.' She was soon invited to join MuzikMafia

In 2007, Shanna signed with Atlantic Records and where she spent most of her time traveling between Los Angeles, New York and Miami writing and collaborating with other notable writers for her debut album.

In 2008, Shanna signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV New York. Her songs have been featured in national television campaigns for Clean & Clear

Atlantic Records

In August 2007, Shanna secured a record deal with Atlantic Records in New York, New York. While signed to Atlantic, Shanna released a single that was featured in the Clean and Clear commercial - "Wakin' Up To Love", which became available through iTunes. In August 2010, Shanna announced via her Facebook account that she was no longer associated with Atlantic Records. No plans have yet been put forth to work on a debut album. Shanna continues to write and record.
