Life and career

Kippel starred as Chad the Jock in the 2003 film Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, which was tagged as "A teenager's guide to heavy metal, cheerleaders, true love, and Satan". He also has a recurring role on Life with Derek

In the first few seasons of Degrassi, Kippel appears as a bully at Degrassi. Spinner ended up getting his best friend Jimmy shot by another kid at school named Rick. They were split up as friends for a while, but they reconcile a couple seasons later. After Spinner graduates, he plans on becoming a cop, but never makes it into the police academy because his physical marks were too low due to his cancer therapy. He currently works at The Dot, a local cafe in Toronto. The last episode he was in, he married a longtime classmate and friend Emma and leaves longtime girlfriend Jane.

Kippel played a soldier on Combat Hospital in the episode "Welcome To Kandahar". After an explosion, his character initially appeared uninjured. Later, while visiting the soldier who absorbed most of the impact, also a close friend, he collapses and is found to be bleeding internally. He dies in the operating room.
