SensíQ is a product line of surface plasmon resonance
Surface plasmon resonance
The excitation of surface plasmons by light is denoted as a surface plasmon resonance for planar surfaces or localized surface plasmon resonance for nanometer-sized metallic structures....

(SPR) based instruments used to detect biological interactions between proteins, peptides, antibodies, and organic molecules. The most common analysis performed are the determination of binding affinity and kinetic parameters, and to identify binding partners in a qualitative manner1,2. It can also be used to perform concentration assays without amplification or labeling typically used in ELISA
ELISA
Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay , is a popular format of a "wet-lab" type analytic biochemistry assay that uses one sub-type of heterogeneous, solid-phase enzyme immunoassay to detect the presence of a substance in a liquid sample."Wet lab" analytic biochemistry assays involves detection of an...

 and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy
Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy
Ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy or ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry refers to absorption spectroscopy or reflectance spectroscopy in the ultraviolet-visible spectral region. This means it uses light in the visible and adjacent ranges...

SensíQ Pioneer is a three-channel automated SPR instrument with permanent optics; SensíQ and SensíQ Discovery are 2-channel semi-automated and manually operated instruments, respectively, that use the disposable Spreeta SPR sensor developed by Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments
Texas Instruments Inc. , widely known as TI, is an American company based in Dallas, Texas, United States, which develops and commercializes semiconductor and computer technology...

3. These SPR instruments were developed to utilize the Spreeta sensor technology which Icx Nomadics holds the rights to.

SensíQ is manufactured in Oklahoma City by ICx Nomadics bioinstrumentation division, a division of ICx Technologies (Arlington, VA), and has been in production since 2007. Nomadics was founded in 1994 in Stillwater, OK and was acquired by ICx in 20054.
