Steen has been hand picked to join Cirque du Soleil's new production currently titled "Vaudeville", premiering in Chicago and then opening on Broadway at the Beacon Theater in New York.

Steen is also a strong advocate for music in education and has appeared on many news shows including CNN, ABC World News Tonight, and NPR's All Things Considered

Steen recently released a solo album entitled "Playing Favorites" which was heard on America's #1 Jazz station, KJZZ. Over the past year, he has been touring parts of Europe performing with many artists when not on tour with RCR.
