 when reportedly two cars racing down that street with no headlights on slammed into their car. Both Fenton and Christie died instantly.

In his honour, his #14 jersey became the first jersey to be retired by the club and will not be used by any future player of the club. The jersey is one of six retired jerseys that are displayed at Challenge Stadium
