There are two schools in the town: Holy Family and Sauk Centre Public School.
Holy Family is a Catholic private school; it enrolls students from kindergarten to 6th grade.
Sauk Centre Public School has 3 departments: Elementary (kindergarten to 6th grade), Junior high (7th to 9th grade) and Senior high (10th to 12th grade). Students in the school are also called Main Streeters, or Streeters, which comes from the novel Main Street
