. The film became a resounding hit. With this film, Sasi gained a place with the top-grade screenwriters of Malayalam. He went on to write screenplays for 18 more films , including the cult classic Yoddha, comic thriller CID Unnikrishnan B.A., B.Ed.

, and the hilarious Cheppadividya. Yoddha, which released on 4 September 1992 is widely regarded as his master piece. The film became a landmark film in the history of Malayalam cinema
