Sanctium are a melodic death metal band from Sydney, Australia. They were formed in 2007 by Mathew Sorrensen (Infernal Method), David Pietersz and AntiChris Lahoud. The band was later joined by Anthony Delvecchio (Switchblade
) and Karl Ebing (Myraeth) before the recording of their debut album begun in 2010.
The band has performed a few low key shows around New South Wales, Australia and during this time have been recording their debut album at the Grove Studios (formally Mangrove Studios) and L.A Studios in Sydney, Australia, engineered by Darren 'Jenk' Jenkins (Cryogenic (band)
). The album is being mixed and mastered by Forrester Savell (karnivool

) and is due for release in late 2011.
