, with 1350 pupils aged 11–18. The school added the ".net" to its name in September 2004 to reflect the extent to which the use of ICT and emerging web technologies were influencing learning. It is one of a very small number of schools in the whole country that has achieved Specialist Status in this combination of subjects. It also has a rural dimension in its specification.

In November 2005 the school underwent an OFSTED inspection under the new framework and was judged to be 'Good with outstanding features', the outstanding features included Personal Development across the school.

In addition to its livestock area the school has opened a 'geological garden' and has constructed a 'sensory garden'.
