Biography

Colie studied dance, the piano and, for over ten years, was as a lead ensemble member of theatre company – Ayaedeh!, performing in over 50 plays and musicals and winning numerous awards for oratory and drama. After attending acting school in Jamaica for one year, Sabrina emigrated to the United States. While at prestigious liberal arts college Colgate University, she served as Artistic Director of Urban Theatre for 3 years. Under her leadership, the company produced plays high in quality and originality. These experiences spawned Colie’s advancement as a writer and director. As her sense for the visual expanded, she began to develop and actively nurture a passion for cinema. The portfolio of short films that she created while at Colgate earned her acceptance into California Institute of the Arts' MFA Film Directing program, to which she never matriculated. Colie is a member of the Actor's Equity Association of America.
