Aurora City Council

First elected to the non-partisan Aurora City Council in 2003 at the age of 26, Frazier was re-elected in 2007. During his tenure on the council, Frazier worked on the city budget, supported a public/private life-sciences city on the former Fitzsimmons Army Medical base, and promoted Cop-Link, a system to connect law enforcement agencies to critical information, which has since gone into use across Colorado. Frazier also promoted "boundless playgrounds" for disabled children.

He has a reputation of being one of the most skilled orators in the Colorado GOP.

Attendance

Frazier had the worst attendance record of any council member from May 2006 through April 2010, missing a total of 28 out of 100 meetings. Frazier has disputed the numbers, saying he attended about 85 percent of council meetings. Frazier notes that he was absent for some meetings as he was working a full time job to supplement the roughly $12,000 annual salary as a council member.
