Roohi Zuberi

Roohi Zuberi is a social worker, fighting for women’s rights for the past 34 Years. She served as a Sr. Cabinet Member in the A.M.U. after that she became Vice President and President of Student’s Union.
In 1986, she established Women's Welfare Society which assists in solving domestic violence cases, provides legal counselling, career counselling and training programmes for women free of cost.
The society is well known particularly in the commissionaire of Agra, Aligarh, Meerut and surrounding regions. This society has become synonymous with providing women's rights among the poor.
She contested for the post of Mayor in 2000 from Aligarh on Congress ticket
