Roger Dopson

Roger Dopson is a rock historian, archivist, researcher, writer and educator who has contributed liner notes for hundreds of LPs and CD albums, issued across a myriad of record labels. These include Sequel Records, EMI, Sony, Universal, BMG, Castle Music, Sanctuary, See For Miles, GVC, Repertoire, Snapper, Charly and Acrobat. Dopson is known to write under a number of pseudonyms, including N.E. Fulcanwright, I. Moulden-Gray, I. McHunt, Roger Murdoch, Orson Carte, Beau Nidle, Hugh G. Rection, Hugh Jorgan, I. Knobster, Arwol Jackson and Ivan U. Imac.

Along with Mark Stratford and Simon Robinson he was a founding partner in the specialist collectors label, RPM Records, in 1991, and during the mid-1990s he started the Diamond and Zircon collectors’ labels.
