Biography

First journalist to Blois and Paris, Roger Bordier became art critic for the magazine Art today. He published his first collection of poems (in Seghers), writing short stories and a first novel, The Fifth Season published by Calmann-Levy, and his third novel, the corn, won the Prix Renaudot in 1961. He then continued his work as a successful novelist with A Golden Age, which was adapted for television by Fernand Marzelle, and published essays on criticism.

Roger Bordier was a professor at the National School of Decorative Arts, where he taught the history of modern art and sociology of contemporary aesthetics.
