Hayek first became famous on television in the TV series The Dream of March (Arabic: "حلم آذار") in 2005. The Dream of March is a drama production alluding to contemporary events. Hayek took major roles in several other television series.

Hayek landed her first television role in 2005, starring in the drama series "The Dream of March".
In 2008 she starred in "oul nchalla" (Arabic: "قول انشالله"). In 2009 she played the character "Nancy" in a mini series entitled: (Arabic:"قطبة مخفية"). "Nancy" is a seductress who's trying to sabotage the relationship between her sister and the latter's husband.

In 2010 Rita starred in a new television series called "For Her Eyes" (Arabic: من أجل عينيها) a drama portraying the traditional Lebanese family.
During the same year, she played a leading role in the Ramadan drama series "Another Face For Love" (Arabic: للحب وجهٌ آخر)

2010 was a very fruitful year, Hayek played in the drama musical "A Well Bred Family" (Arabic: "عيلة متعوب عليها"), as well as two other TV series expected to show in 2011 (Arabic:"متل الكذب") and "Escape" (Arabic: "هروب")

In addition to her career as an actress, Hayek is a renowned television presenter appearing on a PanArab talk show "Rotana Cafe" from 2006 until 2009.
She's also the spokesperson of Nivea
