History and Local Amenities

Surrounded by farming land, the village is near to a number of holiday destinations and has two caravan parks and a public house - the Sporting Chance, which at one time was named Llwyngwair Arms. The local young farmers group were instrumental in creating a memorial garden resiting the memorial stone that lay very close to the main trunk road. A new community centre now occupies the site where an old Methodist Chapel lay abandoned for some time.
