It consists mostly of neglected seasonal cottages and a few full-time residents. In the past several years the community has worked to improve the area. It has an association that has a president, Joan Hahn; vice president; Deb Lutz, treasurer, secretary and committee members. There have been improvements made to the houses and the road system. Several members of the community have been investing time, effort and money into trying to decrease the erosion of the banks into the Chesapeake Bay. The view is beautiful with seven miles of water to Havre de Grace. Situated on the bay with its private beach, boat ramp and pier provides frequent sightings of Bald Eagles, Osprey and herons feeding on the fish. It is a relaxed life with people visiting and waving to each other as they pass.

The local harbormaster and his daughter along with other community members compete in a yearly fishing contest. Year after year the father and daughter win is under protest due to the local lack of trust in this team. They claim that their intense training contributes to their consistent success. The winning fish for 2010 is a Striper 22.75 in and the daughter is the champion, much to Dad's delight, which can also be misconstrued as jealousy.
