The organization qualifies the mission statement saying: "*Note: 'bureaucracy' implying excessive and/or unimaginative official routines, not routines required to collect data that provide information for a valid purpose, such as safety improvement."

Membership

As of 31 December 2007 RA-Aus had almost 7800 voting members and over 2912 aircraft registered. Excluding instructors and students, the members fly an average of 35 hours per year.
