Rebecca Moore is an American
musician
and actress. Notable for her participation in FLUXUS
inspired theater productions and experimental music, she was also the lover and onetime muse of Jeff Buckley
. She is the daughter of noted FLUXUS photographer, Peter Moore and his wife, Barbara, an art historian.
Rebecca Moore was born and raised amidst New York City's Avant-garde
art scene of the 1970s. She spent many years performing in experimental theater works by artists such as John Jesurun

In recent years Moore has become vocal in several social groups concerned with maintaining the creative and cultural heritage of New York’s East Village

communities such as the HOWL Festival, Take It to the Bridge and LOCO (Ludlow-Orchard Community Organization) which Moore founded. Moore is also opposed to the pushing out of long-time, low income communities and citizens that she believes have made these particular neighborhoods so vibrant.
