The Reality Check is a weekly, 45 minute podcast hosted by members of The Ottawa Skeptics. The show is hosted by Jonathan Abrams, president of The Ottawa Skeptics with Darren McKee, Adam Gardner, and Elan Dubrofsky. Former co-hosts include Xander Miller and Catherine LeBel.
The show explores "Scientific controversies and curiosities" and the topics of discussion are varied and include the Moon landing hoax, Big Foot, Feng Shui and the treatment of hiccups. In keeping with the satirical nature of the show, the opening theme music is often a parody of a well-known melody and performed by Ottawa Skeptic member Pat Roach and his wife, Cristina. As of October 2011, the podcast was receiving over 3,000 weekly downloads.
