, in which the player races remote controlled cars across many varied tracks. Its levels span 5 different environments: Jungle, Horror, Space, Monster, and AKLM studios. This game was once called Re-Volt 2, but was later changed to RC Revenge by Acclaim.

Gameplay

There are four games modes in RC Revenge: championship mode, single race, time trial, and multiplayer. RC Revenge has boat and race car effects and an options mode where the player can see the credits, track records, adjust music and sound volumes, brightness, and more.

Track Editor

In Track Editor, players can build their own track and save it on to a PS1 memory card. After that, they can test their skills against a friend or a computer. By pressing random, the player can try out other courses besides player-created tracks. With P2 (second player), one can only go up to 4 RC cars, while Player 1 Has up to 8 or 4 RC cars. There is a limited amount of track pieces that can be used to make a track. The player can also change backgrounds and the music. Tracks can be redesigned and made into a whole new track. Tracks can also be saved and played with other people.

Weapons

There are 11 different weapons available to the racers. These weapons are picked up and chosen "randomly" when a racer drives through a floating blue icon. The battery is essentially a turbo, giving cars a temporary burst of speed. The rocket can lock on to targets, and can also be fired backwards with a press of the DOWN key on the controller. The heat ray emits a beam from the car's aerial, directly ahead of the vehicle. Any opponents hit by the beam are stunned! Blue lightning attacks any opponents in close proximity to the vehicle, and temporarily cut's their power. The oil spill weapon spills oil on to the track behind the car, which will affect the handling of any opponents unlucky enough to drive over it. Bouncing mines are dropped from behind the vehicle, and will bounce around the track for a short while, until hit and detonated. They can also be thrown forwards with a press of the UP key when firing. The shield makes the vehicle invulnerable from all weapons for a short while. It also gives a vehicle more brute strength, and enables a smaller car to push a larger car off of the track! Water balloons can be fired from a car's aerial. Upon impact with an opponent, the opponent is trapped within the resulting bubble until it bursts. The shockwave Is emitted in all directions of a vehicle. Any opponents within the radius of the circle are hit. The fake leaves a false weapon icon on the track. Any unsuspecting opponents driving into the icon will find that not only does it not contain a weapon, it actually detonates! The ultimate weapon has a similar effect to the blue lightning, however it effects every opponent on the track!

Cars and boats

Each RC car in RC Revenge has a boat equivalent. While some races contain just cars, and some races contain just boats, a few races contain warp gates that transform cars into boats an vice versa. From a jungle cruiser to a regular RC car, there are between 12 and 20 cars that are unlocked when first starting the RC Revenge video game.

Sequel

In 2002, Acclaim Studios decided to make a sequel called "RC Revenge Pro". Acclaim Studios decided to update the graphics and use a speed-like from loading up slower without cool graphics. The cars and trucks have been brought back from the original version on the PlayStation 1. RC Revenge was actually the final game in the "RC Revenge" series. "RC Revenge Pro" came out on the PlayStation 2 and also came out in Europe.
