Current projects

The narrow section northeast of Lac-des-Plages which has many turns is being straightened and realigned away from the river. Significant tree cutting and blasting was witnessed in March 2007. The section bypassing Lac-des-Plages was opened to traffic in the Fall of 2008 and another section closer to Amherst was opened in the Fall of 2009.
