His younger son Zalan Momand (Sahibzada Ahmed Ubaid-ur-Rehman) is also a well known journalist, and is serving the Baacha Khan Trust as its Deputy Director. His youngest daughter Palwasha Momand(Sahibzada Durrenayab) is also well known for her achievements in the field of translation.His elder son Jalawan Momand is also well known journalist of the print media.
