's, the two software packages are fundamentally different. Mathematica is intended for technical computation, thus its interface is optimized as a working environment. Publicon, on the other hand, is built to be a publication software for technical documents. Publicon cannot evaluate even the simplest form of expressions but it can be linked with Mathematica via the clipboard which allows data to be transferred easily between the two applications.
