. It was first mentioned in documents in 1028. Primarily a tourist resort, the town's other main source of income is electricity generation at a hydro-power plant linked by as 14.8km long pipe to the Gepatsch Reservoir (or Gepatsch Stausee) which was constructed in 1964.
