Project Topi is a student society at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute Of Engineering Sciences and Technology
which involves itself with philanthropic causes. It is a non-government non-profit voluntary organisation based primarily in Topi village of District Swabi
in the N.W.F.P. province of Pakistan
; hence, the name. Project Topi tries to contribute towards the well being of people living in the Topi village and the surrounding areas through a group of committed volunteers wholly from within the student body of GIKI. Project Topi contributes mainly in the areas of education, health and employment for the betterment of people in Topi and surrounding villages.

It was formed with an aim to create an environment for the children of Topi so that they are motivated enough to think that they can study and succeed. The passionate students of the society managed to take time out of their hectic schedule in order to teach local students and provide them with the motivation and aspiration they lacked so much.The volunteers receive self satisfaction by seeing the students pursuing their academic goals and becoming successful individuals. The basic concept of the project is not confined to GIKI now as people from all over Pakistan have started to appreciate their work.
