Profluid

Profluid is the French association of manufacturers of pumps, compressors and valves.
In 2008, the valve sector has represented a turnover of more than 3 billion euros, an increase of 5.8%; for the pump sector, enjoyed a growth of 2.9% for a turnover of 2.4 billion euros ; finally the turnover of compressor sector was 1.8 billion euros, up 3%. All these sectors are largely exporters.
The three professional activities represented by Profluid' have 186 companies as members that employed almost 31 000 employees in 2008 . The trade association is heavily involved in the development of concrete actions for reducing the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the products for its members. It was established in 2009 an eco-design charter that its members commit to respect.
Internationally, members and representatives of Profluid' sit and contribute:
* normative in several committees within the CEN
and the ISO,
* and European sectoral committees such as Europump, Pneurop
and Comité Européen de l'Industrie de la Robinetterie
.
