The Princess Tower is a residential skyscraper
that is under construction in Dubai
. It will rise to 414 m (1,358 ft) and have 101 floors
. The building was originally proposed at only 90 floors. The supertall will become the tallest residential building in the world and the second tallest building in Dubai upon completion in fourth quarter of 2011. however the title of tallest residential building will be taken over by Pentominium
in 2013.
When finished, the Princess Tower will include the most expensive apartments in the world, the best of which may cost US$
85 million. The ground-floor "entrance hall" of the building will be gilded
with white gold
and supplemented with diamonds, opals, rubies, sapphires and crystals.
As of May 2011, the crown of the princess tower is under construction. Tameer Holding will commence the handover of Princess Tower in January, 2012.
