and his first wife Ingeborg Henig. He is the current titular pretender to the Dukedom of Albany

until the forced abdication of his great-grandfather on 18 November 1918, to Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The abdication was a result of the German Revolution. As the marriage of his grandparents was considered morganatic
he has no rights to the succession to the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha ducal throne.
