The school was founded in 1958. The Academy located 209 Lawrence St, is situated on a twenty-two acre campus formerly known as the Edward F. Searles Estate.

Recent Events

In 2008, the school celebrated its 50th anniversary.

The school recently held a discussion amongst faculty and alumnae culminating in the decision to begin accepting applications from men for the Fall 2011 school year and beyond.
