Ponderosa High School offers many sports programs, including Football, Volleyball, Soccer, and Track and Field. Ponderosa is in the Division I power house Delta River League.- Wrestling: Ponderosa wrestling is co-coached by Tyson Escobar and Soren Murphy. Escobar is an alumnus of Ponderosa and is also the athletic director. The Ponderosa Bruins are 19 time SJS Team Section Champions and 36 time league champions.
- Soccer: Greg Close and Don Augiar coach the men's JV and varsity soccer teams respectively. Coach Spangler also coaches the varsity girls' team, which in the 2007-08 school year, made a championship game appearance. Greg Close also received the Coach of the Year title from Capital Athletic Soccer Academy.
