Playground 52 is a small park in The Bronx
. Originally built in the 1950s as a playground for PS-52, the playground suffered decay during the 1970s. In 1980, a group of volunteers known as 52 People for Progress began to rehabilitate the park.
The park is currently owned by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation
and is used as a venue for musical performances.
