Pittsburgh Quarterly is the premier magazine for editorial quality in Western Pennsylvania. In concert with its tagline, "Where Commerce & Culture Meet", Pittsburgh Quarterly is a combination of stories, photography and illustration about the most interesting and timely issues in Greater Pittsburgh, from the Marcelluls Shale to the Regional Indicators at Pittsburghtoday.org, to book reviews and cultural stories, to sports and outdoors.

For five years in a row—2006–2011—Pittsburgh Quarterly has been judged the best magazine in the 29 counties of Western Pennsylvania, according to annual Golden Quill Awards, sponsored by the Press Club of Western Pa. for outstanding journalism.

Pittsburgh Quarterly was founded in 2006 by Douglas Heuck, a former investigative reporter and business editor at The Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
