Black can be seen in an eye makeup advertisement for Australis Cosmetics. In it, she poses as a nurse who is so taken by one patient's eyeshadow that she applies it to her own eyes using her finger.

Personal life

Black completed high school at Beaconhills College as Vice Captain. She began studies in Animal Technology and landed a job as a vet nurse, but later deferred them to pursue acting.

In a 2006 TV WEEK article Black admitted to being extremely shy as a young adult. Initially, she took up acting classes as an attempt to build confidence.
